How do Idaho’s Deer & Elk Tags work?

Just a few years ago it was possible to pick up licenses to hunt Idaho either right before or even during the season. Now, with the increased interest in hunting Idaho and new restrictions to hunting mule deer units within the state, the way you get a tag to hunt next year is by sitting in the queue for a first come, first served over-the-counter tag.

Sometimes the unit you want is available. Most of the time now, it is not. What do you do when you have to fall back on plans b, c, d, and more for your deer and elk hunts?

This is your chance to get the full rundown of how to pick up your first hunting tags of 2023 using Idaho’s first-come, first-served OTC system. Tune into the limited Hunt West Webinar, on November 27, 2022, at 6 pm, MST.

Slots are $15 per person. Limited to 10 people.

More importantly bring questions about specific regions and how this OTC tag strategy compliments the controlled hunt applications due in June.
