This land won’t take care of you if you don’t take care of it.”

- Grandpa Bill

This is why Hunt West is 2% for Conservation Certified

Hunt West was founded to help people have more enjoyment on their hunts by teaching how to draw tags and make better hunt plans. On the other side of the equation is a precious wildlife resource that takes intentional conservation efforts to ensure we have strong numbers to continue to pursue. While the focus is often on how the hunting opportunities “pie” are divvied up, there are chances to help wildlife left on the table every day that would make for greater overall opportunities. It’s the building of this bigger “pie” that Hunt West is passionate about through conservation efforts of our wildlife & wild places.

Our current generation of hunters benefit from these efforts, and the future generations depend on it.

Ways You Can Give Back

  • Buying a membership to a cause you support is an easy way to get your foot in the door for conservation.

  • Fundraising banquets are a blast and often are a great way to give back to a cause. Some of our favorites are the Bear Banquet and the annual Bowhunters of Wyoming Banquet.

  • We all have a voice in wildlife management in our state, and with federal agencies, like the Fish and Wildlife Service and National Forests. Make your voice heard when you can.

  • If getting your hands dirty is your thing, look out for volunteer projects like fence removals, build beaver dam analogs (seen here), and more.
